1 year check up

We went in for James' 1 year check up today, with good old Dr. Hall. James is healthy as can be and looks great!
STATS:
Weight: 21.8 lbs (25th percentile)
Height: 30 inches (55th percentile)
Head: 19 inches

What he's up to these days:
  • Walking/running all over the place. He is the busiest person I have ever met. I am counting on loosing a significant amount of weight chasing after him :)
  • He seems like he is starting to become a pickier eater, he used to eat anything.

  • He is starting to master the spoon and fork...he does a pretty darn good job for a rookie!
  • No more bottle! No more formula!!
  • He says a handful of words... Dad, Mama, baba (bottle), ball, baby, kitty, doggy, nose, eye, banana, flower, bye bye, hot, he also said his own name yesterday for the first time...he called himself Jamesy. :)
  • Shakes head yes and no.
  • He can point to his and other's eyes, nose and mouth.
  • He gets super excited when he sees other little kids.
  • He dances whenever he hears music.
  • He can clap, wave bye bye, and point to things.
  • He loves to be tickled. If you are tickling him and you stop he will take your hand and put it back on him to be tickled.
  • James has a total of 6 teeth. He has been drooling like a water fountain the past week or so, so I am expecting something to pop soon.
    Things James loves right now:
  • Bananas
  • Toast
  • The vacuum and broom, he got little toy ones for his birthday, but he still prefers the real deal.
  • Being outside and running in the grass.
  • Swinging
  • DAD
  • The show "It's a Big Big World"

I can't believe he's a toddler!

Oh he's so cute! Good job on all those words he can say!

You know, I noticed I cropped a couple pounds lately. I hadn't connected it to Liam walking and running... sweet!

Yes, he is cute and he already does a lot more as Soren does. Wow. But he will catch up.
