Lesson Learned

This morning James woke up with some wicked bed head.
I had to run a few errands this morning so in a sad attempt to cover his 80's old man hair, I threw a hat on his head that literally fell on me from a shelf in our coat closet. We got to Walmart and immediately someone commented on the hat, then again, and again and again! A total of SEVEN people approached us and said something about his hat. As our merchandise was being rung up by the cashier, out of the corner of my eye at the Walmart portrait studio I saw a small group of lady workers pointing and smiling at James. We ended up having to walk by them to get to the parking lot. One lady came over to us with a small bag in her hand and said that they were talking about how cute he was and asked me if I wanted some coupons. I thanked them and went on my merry way. Got home, and there was a bunch of coupons in this bag and a candy bar! Moral of the story: It pays to dress your kid cute, you could end up scoring a free candy bar!
