I am going to be participating in this as much as I can. I have been having a somewhat bloggers block and not knowing what to post. This will be really fun. They ask a question and you answer it on your blog. It is a kind of getting to know you better type thing. I am also excited to read what other people have to say! I missed out on day 1, so I am starting on day 2.
DAY TWO QUESTION:
Traditions, what are some of your favorite family traditions? What are some that you want to begin?
I am at a really fun point in my life when it comes to traditions. Having a newer little family means I can start any ole crazy tradition I want to. I have been thinking about this and I get really excited. Here are some of the traditions I want to start:
- Boycotting Christmas Day. Sounds way more harsh than it is. Growing up, we never went to any family functions on December 25th. We hung around in our pajamas, ate good food, watched A Christmas Story all day, and if we felt like it went bowling. This is something I am planing on continuing. Just a relaxing Christmas day.
- I think that James (and any future babes) should have a new pair of pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. Something fun for them and will make the Christmas morning pictures look fresh and new.
- I want to start a tradition for when to put up the tree. I haven't quite figured it out, but probably the weekend after Thanksgiving.
- I also want to start shopping on Black Friday, call me what you will :), with my friend Tiffany. We went last year and had TONS of fun. I am hoping we can this year. Kind of makes me sick thinking it is already a week from tomorrow!
- There are more ideas rattling around in my noggin, but I don't want to put something down that I might not do. The above ideas are for sures.
For fun I am throwing in a picture of Mr. Bald James from last Christmas. Now I am getting in the Christmas spirit. Is it too early to put up my Christmas tree?

I am all for relaxing on Christmas day. Stay in your PJs, open presents, eat and take a nap!
A relaxing Christmas sounds so nice! We've only gone out on Black Friday a few times, but I search the circulars and get a game plan when we do.
What a sweet photo!
Love the photo, looks so festive! I've only tried Black Fridaying once. I guess I am just not cut out for it. Last year, I went out late after all the mad chaos had departed. Missed a lot of deals, but still found a few things. Maybe I should have tried it with a friend. Have fun!
Yes Bridget Mary, it is to early to put the tree up.. =)
Your, Mother. hahaha!
I like the idea of that momdot blog party. I will check it out. :)
OMG that pic is SO CUTE!!!! I love it. I'm getting in the Christmas spirit too and can't wait to put up the tree. I'll be out of town the week of Thanksgiving... that's when we usually put it up (well, usually being a rather new thing). I'm in the same boat... new young family, so we can make up whatever we want. I've pretty much settled on the boycott Christmas day too!
That's what we're having.
YOur ideas are great! I love the new PJ idea, and I think i am going to steal that one for sure!
I remember the pics of jamesie from last year. I feel so important that I saw this the first time around :) Awww, we have been "friends" for over a year now.
That is the cutest picture! I love the pajama idea!!!
boycotting Christmas day is fun. We did it last year and had a blast
