The title to this post is supposed to be sung like how you would sing Baby Got Back. Why? Because that has been stuck in my head all day looking at my poor rash infested baby child.
Please, don't freak out like I did... he is fine. This was pretty much all caused by his (if this wasn't a family blog, there would be a swear word right here) molars! All weekend James had a fever, which at 3:00am Sunday morning peaked at 104.3. I had been giving him Motrin, but every six hours like the box says. I called the hospital to talk to a nurse and she said alternate Motrin and Tylenol every three hours. I didn't have any Tylenol, so at around 5:00am I had to run to Walmart! His fever then subsided and the next day, yesterday, he slowly started to break out in this rash. Everything I have read and heard said that fever + rash = no good. I took him in to the doc yesterday morning. He reassured me James was fine and it was just a rash from having the fever. So all is good! But, man oh man does it look nasty!
I called Caleb right when we got out of the doctor's office yesterday morn. He, who didn't even know James had a rash, told me I worry too much. I do agree with that...I worry about everything! I am sure though, there is plenty of mommies out there that would have done the same thing, but I think I go a little beyond worried, some may call it paranoia.
I blame this on my mom. She is really bad, her mother is worse. This goes along with all the other dud things I inherited from my family. I like to think I was the gutter for the bad genes LOL!! :) Big gut, flat butt, double chin, paranoia etc. HA!

Yes, I would freak out if I saw that! Poor you. I hope you both feel better soon.
is this prickly heat? it is very common since it's summer...
thank you for the comment about the diaper cakes..
you have a very cute angel..
Poor James! Is the rash uncomfortable? Is he itchy? Awww poor sweet skin! I completely would have called the doctor too. I don't think that's paranoia, that's "WTF is on my kid!" :) I hope he clears up soon and you can give your mama heart a rest! I too feel the pain of Molar Time, and now I too will have Baby Got Back stuck in my head all day. (I'm not complaining.)
oh no!!! at least there is no distress on his (sweet) (adorable) face. antihistimines?
AWWW Poor sweet Jamesie. I just wanted to give him a big hug when I saw the pics!
I don't blame you for the way you reacted! :) We are Moms, that is in our job descriptions!
