long time no see

James got to hang out with his little buddies (from left) Henry, Hailey, and Michael. They all had lots of fun, even though Henry was feeling a bit under the weather after having surgery on Tues. We hadn't seen them in a while so it was fun to catch up.

What a nice, fun weekend we had. Started out with our lazy Saturday morn (see post below) then a trip to the pumpkin patch. A beautiful, sunny, cool day. Then James and I headed over to my friend Brittany's for some babe play time...and mommy hang time. My friend Charee was there with her little guy Michael.

Happy 8/8/08!

Yesterday we headed over to my work for our company picnic, we showed up 15 min before it was over so there wasn't much going on at that point. But afterwards, we went over to Charee's with Brittany and all of the kids, ordered pizza and had fun playing, and gossiping of course :)

Eight is considered a lucky number in Chinese culture because it sounds like the word "prosper" or "wealth." How appropriate for the summer Olympics to start this day 8/8/08 at 8:00pm. I was watching the Today Show, and they were saying that the Chinese try to get anything with 8s in it...address, phone numbers, license plate numbers...anything, that's how much they believe this number is lucky!! Just a tid bit of miscellaneous trivia for you today!

a fun day for friends and animals!

Yesterday James and I went over to my friend/co-worker's house for dinner and a little play. My other friend/co-worker Charee was there with her little guy Michael too. It was a nice time and it was the first time I had been over to their new house. It is absolutely gorgeous. Big beautiful house on 20 acres of wooded land right across from a state park. She has two horses, three dogs, and four cats. Oh, and two super cute kids, Hailey and Henry. Henry is about one month younger than James. It was so fun watching them play together. James loved all of the animals, especially the kitty's. When we were leaving one of the mama kitty's started to go into labor! I wish I could have seen some baby kitty's, but we had to go to get James to bed.

My work's Easter party.

My work had an open house Easter party this evening. There was roughly around 300 kids that showed up. It was really nice and James had a great time with the Easter bunny, painting eggs (i helped of course!), seeing the baby animals, and much more. He was such a good boy and I am so proud of him. I was kind of nervous he was going to freak out with that many people around. He was actually kind of the opposite. He was reaching out for anyone that came over and said hi. He was quite the people person, I am so relieved! He is fast asleep in his crib now, he was one wore out little boy from all of the fun!

I have a better picture taken of him with the Easter bunny, but I don't have a scanner to scan it in. The photographer did a pretty darn good job for photographing around 300 kids in an hour and a half! props to her!
