Wordless Wednesday: needle felting

My newest craft adventure is needle felting. It is super fun, inexpensive, and a good stress reliever! My good friend Sarah introduced me.

You take unspun wool (roving), which you can purchase at any yarn store, and a special needle to create shapes and things to be used alone or can be applied as a design in a felted project. To create these, you simply use a poking motion with the needle into the roving (on a piece of foam) which interlocks the fibers and manipulates it to form shape. It is way easier than it sounds...

WOW I could NOT do this! It's like scratching on a chalk board when I pull apart cotton! :)
