Celebration of the Lakes

Today we headed out for some good ole fashion Minnesota fun...playing on frozen lakes. We went to the 17th Annual Celebration of the Lakes.

Sled dog rides, Snowmobile drag racing, Turkey bowling on ice (yes, that's what I said) and other fun activities all take place on a lake. Click the link for a complete list of events. I grew up on the lake they used to have this on. There is a hot air balloon launch, and that is what I remember as a child. Waking up to a bunch of hot air balloons above my house. We, unfortunately missed the launch. I might go back tomorrow just to see it, but we will see. James went absolutely crazy for all of the snowmobiles and four wheelers. For the majority of the time we watched the snowmobile races, James loved them! My sweet. So serious.

Today I finally put in James' big boy carseat...a little overdue I know! When I was installing it the directions said that for safety reasons to only put the seat rear facing if the child is under 20lbs. James is over 20 lbs, so to my surprize I got to put it in forward facing! He looks like such a big kid in the seat!

Here are the pics I promised, sorry there are so many! These are all from the last couple days, Caleb bought a new computer and I didn't have time to upload theme before he unhooked that computer from the internet. If that makes any sense at all! I have to go buy some CD's to transfer them to this new fancy computer. P.S. Vista is dumb!

Got the internet again!!! We also got cable with DVR and HD...I will never be missing and episode of Big Brother 9 (which is on in feb!) any who, here are some pics of james and his little friend kylee. I have such a great time watching them play it is really funny!
