Santa Parade

On Friday James and I headed downtown in our little town and watched a cute little Santa parade they put on. It was pretty cool out, but James still had a good time.

Eggo update...

I saw on the news that this Eggo shortage will remain until next summer! It was due to a flood in one of the Eggo locations!

National Shortage!?!?

James and I went grocery shopping this morning, and we encountered this devastating news...

What on earth is a gal to do?

Here is my little helper...

He is such a charmer, waving to everyone...especially the cute little girls who get shy and hide their faces and the grandmas and grandpas of the world.

I heart Sunday

Sunday just has a different feel to it doesn't it? You hear more people say, " It feels like a Sunday." More than any other day of the week. I love Sunday mornings. It's a nice cozy feeling, a family feeling. It always helps when it's a sunny Sunday morning too. This morning was no different. It was colder than it has been, so we woke up to some beautiful frost. Like a winter wonderland. Frost makes the most ordinary things beautiful.

My car window.

The roof of my car.

The grass.

No need for frost to make this picture beautiful :) Thank you for a yummy breakfast Caleb.

Dinner tonight...

I was planing on taking this yummy picture of my beautifully put together plate of food, but was so tired after making all of this and not to mention hungry, I was licking the plate clean before I even had a chance to remember. So, here is what I spent a long long long time making. All homemade. Sesame chicken, shrimp and pork egg rolls, spicy sichuan won tons and cream cheese won tons. It was REALLY good. This picture shows what was left after Caleb, James, and I stuffed our faces and the food looks kind of gross in the pic, it is much better looking, smelling, and tasting in real life! Come on over for left overs!

Yesterday

Yesterday we went and visted my grandma and grandpa. My grandpa had just got out of the hospital after being diagnosed with colon cancer and having surgery. He was looking very good and we are hoping he will kick this cancer fast! I am sure he will too! James had fun playing with all of grandma's toys and playing with some of the other visitors (like my aunt Theresa). Get better soon gramps!

A small baby girl celebration with old friends :)

Today James and I went over to an old friends house to have a little celebration of the baby girl brewing inside of me. It was such a nice time! James had lots of fun playing with a super cute set of twins!

Pumpkin Bread

There is something terribly wrong with being pregnant right now...call it bad timing. For those women who are thinking about getting pregnant, here is my advice to you:
  • Try avoid being pregnant the month of October. OH and I am sure November and December too for obvious weight gain reasons.
  • Don't be pregnant when McDonalds is having their Monopoly games going on.
  • Don't be pregnant during Halloween...unless you hate chocolate and all other sweets.
  • Do I really need to say anything about November and December?
  • Try to be pregnant when it is nice outside. You are more active this way and are more used to walking around so you don't get winded when you end up bringing your 2 year old trick or treating.

And for those of us who are pregnant and have binged on crap like myself here is a guilt free treat. (Just ignore the nuts in it and the butter I caked on it)

Yummy pumpkin bread! This pumpkin bread is fat free and made with some wheat flour. The only butter in it is the butter you see on top :) To my surprise it is VERY good. A pregnant gal needs her treats, but I had to do something since I ran out of Halloween candy am feeling a bit guilty about eating some sweets. The recipe is HERE. I cut it in half and only made one loaf.

Why are sick kids so cute?

Is it the crazy hair?

Is it the tired smiles?

Maybe the need to be oh so comfy cozy?

It must be the crusty noses :)

The time has come.

It's official! The day has come. I have successfully reached the point of not being comfortable- period. It was actually 2 days ago this happened. It wasn't a gradual hill into uncomfortablism either, it more like a cliff I was pushed of off. I am pretty sure that day, from the time I woke up to about 10pm, when the only place I could have an ounce of comfort was in the bath tub, I had to have gained a good 25 lbs. Yes, in a matter of 15 hours I HAD to have gained 25 lbs. There is no other logical reason why I could have felt the way I did. Oh and I had to have gained it all in my tummy too.
I went from not really being able to see my feet, to not at all being able to see my 2 year old who was standing in front of me. All of the sudden I can hardly reach the sink faucet to do the dishes due to my protruding mid section.
I went from bending over makes it a little difficult to breathe, to bending over causes beautiful shades of blue- in my face. It took me a good half hour just to clean up the toys on the floor.
It just amazes me how one day you can go from sometimes forgetting you are pregnant, to wondering how I am still standing up right and not toppling over face first all the time. I mean isn't this defying the laws of gravity?
Here is my first bare belly shot with this little nugget. I did only bare belly with James. It is funny because I didn't really have to edit the stretch marks from this picture like I did with all of the ones of James. I had so much extra skin this time around I haven't got one new stretch mark! So far anyway :)

pregnancy calendar
I can complain and joke all I want to, but we all know it is totally worth it in the end!
p.s. I am having a baby next month!
Fill in the blank:
Her name is __________________.

Holy shmoly James had a blast last night trick or treating. He knew exactly what to do, except at the first one he didn't knock he just went right on in. It was someone we knew so it was ok LOL! He dressed up as Rambo.
